DescriptionPolygons outlining all prospective formations for CO2 storage on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Each formation folder contains metadata with drawing the formation outline, a thickness map and formation top depth. The interpretations and map interpolations are made and provided by the NPD, based on available well- and seismic data. Prospective storage sites are also assigned specific storage sites in some cases (e.g. Fensfjord Formation trap 1, 2, 3, and 4), with estimated individual volumes. Trap interpretation and volume calculation are performed by Yufeng Gao at UiO (NORDICCS metadata set).
